Thought of the day: Our Sad Human Condition

Many thoughts run through my mind as I see the world through the gaze of God. I am in awe of the beauty of existence yet in disarray about the state of the human condition. The world likes to play in this race which will allow you to be successful. It differs depending on the culture one currently lives in, but let us focus on America. America has the popularity and power to influence every other country on earth. Given our sad excuse of  a life, we find that people are hopeless and empty. I am grateful to live in a “free” country. The conditions could be worse, but I don’t put faith in the system rather Gods sovereignty. I know I seem contradictory to the above paragraph, but I assure you every idea is parallel to each other.   When I look at individuals, I see beauty and splendor. People are unique and lively. It makes you wonder what it all means. Are people just a gathering of blood, mucus, water, and bones that sprung from an animal long ago? Did the world create itself

The Muddy Crown

The Lord called me to His bosom, and my heart leaped for joy. I was laying down on my bed thinking about what I was going to do for the rest of the day. Suddenly, God spoke to my spirit saying, “baby come see me.” I traveled to heaven at the speed of thought. Before I knew it, I was on the forever bridge where I regularly meet God.   The forever bridge is a beautiful bridge that stretches from as far as the eye can see. From this point, I can see planet earth, the sun, and the moon in all its glory.   As I appeared before God, we didn’t speak. My heart knows the words of God, and He knows mine. My relationship with God is like water; you don’t know where it begins or ends, that’s because it doesn’t and never will. Next to God Jesus appeared dressed in a very raggedy robe. It was brown and with holes near the feet. I also saw Him wear

Where I'm From Poem

Behold the Doule Where I’m from 3/19/2016 I’m from the mind of Him, who is great The echo of His love, where righteousness is breath And holiness and goodness, eat at the same table I’m from the shouts of praise, sitting on the seat of laughter With others who share His story, history I’m from boldness and strength, that’s been given to me, as a gift From hymns of death, blood, and torture That produced life, grace, and mercy I’m from rainy weather and cold winds That like to hug me, every time I walk outside From the shivering cold and long walks at night From 100 books open at one time As the hail taps my window to come in From deep thoughts, that give me the same enjoyment as songs From crazy sibling to wonderful parents I’m from sad moments and happy times Where misery and blissful collide Yes, I’m from the cross I plant my roots in wisdom and produce knowledge I gather from Christ, my life From Proverbs 9:10, to be precis
